Starting up using Mac OS X

If your computer came with Mac OS X installed, or if you installed Mac OS X yourself, you can switch between using Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.

To set your computer to use Mac OS X, use the Startup Disk control panel.

Open the Startup Disk control panel for me.

1 Click the triangle next to the hard disk that contains your operating system folders.
2 Select the Mac OS X System as your startup disk.
    3 Click Restart.

Once you've set your computer to use Mac OS X, it will always start up using Mac OS X until you set it to use Mac OS 9 again.
