Setting up default templates (Options documents) for specific document types
If you typically use particular content and formatting options for a particular document type, you can set up a default template for that document type. Default templates are also known as Options documents. Creating a default template To create a default template document for a specific document type: The next time you create a new document of that type, your new default template opens. You can still open a document with standard formatting options (instead of the options you created in your default template). To do so, click the Standard button for the desired document type (for example, Standard WP) on the Basic panel of the Starting Points window. IMPORTANT: Your default template is saved in the AppleWorks Templates folder. If you move the template to another folder, it will no longer function as the default template.
