Deleting items in the Finder

    The Finder's Standard Suite includes the Delete command, which you can use to move items to the Trash, while the "Finder items" suite contains the Empty command to empty the Trash.

    WARNING: If you move an item to the Trash and then empty the Trash, you erase the item and it cannot be recovered.

    The following example deletes every file in a folder whose creation date is more than 24 hours before the time the script is executed:
