Setting a new target file for a Smart Object

You can specify a new target file for a Smart Object without deleting the old target file. This is important when you are copying and pasting Smart Objects.

To create a new target file for a Smart Object:

1. In the Layout Editor, select the Smart Object.
2. Do one of the following:
• Use the context menu to choose Set New Target File.
• In the Basic tab of the Image Inspector, click the folder icon to the right of the Target URL.

If the Smart Object's target file is a bitmap image, GoLive launches the Save For Web function to create a new target file. If the target file is an SVG image, GoLive launches Illustrator to create the new target file. If the target file is an SWF image, GoLive launches LiveMotion to create the new target file.
