Choosing a document window sizeYou can choose a size for the document window to use as a guide when you're designing your page layout. For example, although many monitors have a visible display area greater than 640 pixels, you may want to set the size of your page layout to 580 pixels or less to accommodate viewers with 14-inch monitors, or viewers that don't like the browser to fill the entire screen. The document window size is only a tool for designing the page layout--the size you choose does not affect the size of the browser window that displays the page.
