Creating special documents

Using GoLive, you can create documents in a variety of special formats, including XHTML, SMIL, and RealPix. You can create a new HTML document based on a page template or stationery that you've set up for the site, create a text document, cascading style sheet, or JavaScript file, and create QuickTime movie files.

Note: When you create a special HTML document, XHTML document, WML Deck, or SMIL document, GoLive automatically adds a doctype declaration to the source code with a reference to the appropriate Document Type Definition (DTD). (See Setting the doctype of a document.)

To create a document in a special format:

Choose a format from the File > New Special menu. A special document window or dialog box opens depending on the format you choose.
