Understanding the Dynamic Content interfaceYou create dynamic content sites and pages using various elements of the Dynamic Content module's interface. This interface includes the Dynamic Bindings palette, the Dynamic Content toolbar, the dynamic site wizard, the Content Source Editor, and the Content Source Inspector. The Dynamic Bindings palette Lets you bind page elements, including text, images, forms, and links to sources of dynamic content. You can toggle the palette using the Windows > Dynamic Bindings command. The Dynamic Content toolbar Lets you switch between on-line and off-line modes of operation, turn dynamic content highlighting on or off, and display the Dynamic Content pane of the Site Settings dialog box. The latter gives you control over various aspects of a dynamic content site, including security settings, server processing languages, location of the Web site, FTP and WebDAV settings, and data sources. You can toggle the toolbar using the Window > Dynamic Content Toolbar command. The toolbar can float as a window or you can drag it to the main GoLive toolbar to dock it. The dynamic site wizard Leads you step by step through the process of preparing a site for dynamic content. You access the wizard by opening a Web site, clicking the Dynamic Content Site Settings button in the Dynamic Content toolbar, and then clicking the Dynamic Site Wizard button in the Site Settings dialog box. If the site is already dynamic, the Site Settings dialog box displays the site's dynamic content settings. The Content Source Editor Lets you create, delete, and view any content sources defined for the current page. Click the Content Source Editor button at the top right of the Layout Editor to display the Content Source Editor. To create a new content source, click the New Content Source button in the editor. To delete a content source, select it, and click the Delete button. To view the details of a content source, select it, and click the View button. Its details appear in the Content Source Inspector. The Content Source Inspector Displays the details of a selected content source, and lets you make any changes you wish to make. For SQL content sources, the Content Source Inspector lets you link a content source to any database and table in a data source, create filters and sorts, or insert custom SQL statements.
