Changing site settings preferences

The Dynamic Content pane of the Site Settings dialog box lets you control:

    • Whether or not the site is dynamic.
    • The site root URL.
    • The location of the site if it's directly served from your local hard disk.
    • The server languages used in the site to generate dynamic content.
    • The data or content sources used with a dynamic site.

To access the Dynamic Content settings for a site:

  1. Choose Site > Settings.
  2. Click the Dynamic Content icon in the left pane of the Settings dialog box.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If the site is not dynamic, click the Dynamic Site Wizard button and follow the prompts to make the site dynamic. Make sure you have registered the site with your Web server, creating a virtual directory (or alias) before you start the dynamic site wizard. (See Preparing a site on a Web server.)
    • If the site is already dynamic, the Dynamic Content pane displays information about the site, including its root URL, server connection, server processing languages, and data sources. You can edit any of these entries as desired.
