Aligning the timing of tracks and samplesYou can use the Multiple Track Inspector or Multiple Sample Inspector to quickly align the timing of a group of tracks or samples. After selecting the multiple items, you can align their start or end times by using the following buttons and options in the Inspector: Align to Track's/Samples Most Left Start Time Click this button to align the selected tracks or samples to the start time of the left-most item. If you don't select the Adjust Track/Sample Duration option before clicking this button, GoLive aligns the items without changing their durations. Align to Track's/Samples Most Right End Time Click this button to align the selected tracks or samples to the end time of the right-most item. If you don't select the Adjust Track/Sample Duration option before clicking this button, GoLive aligns the items without changing their durations. Adjust Track/Sample Duration Select this option before using the Align buttons if you want to change the durations of the items instead of their start or end times. For items you align to left-most start time, GoLive changes the durations instead of changing the end times. For items you align to right-most end time, GoLive changes the durations instead of changing the start times. Leap to Base Track's Start Time/Leap to Base Track's End Time The base track is the track you want to align other tracks to. Choose the base track from the Base Track menu in the Multiple Track Inspector. Click the Leap to Base Track's Start Time button to align the end times of the other selected tracks to the base track's start time. Note that there must be enough time before the base track to fit the other selected tracks. For example, if the base track begins at a movie's 2 second mark, only tracks with durations of 2 seconds or less can fit before the base track. Click the Leap to Base Track's End Time button to align the start times of the other selected tracks to the base track's end time. |
