Finding files
You can find individual files or objects (such as colors and e-mail addresses) throughout your site. This is particularly useful if you have a huge site with dozens or even hundreds of pages. Instead of scrolling through long file lists in the site window, you can enter a full or partial filename or URL.
To find files within a site: - Open a site project file, or bring a site window already open to the front.
- Click the tab that lists the type of item you want to find. That is, if you want to find a color, click the Colors tab.
- Do one of the following:
- Click the Find Files in Site button
in the toolbar. - Choose Edit > Find, and then click the In Site tab.
- Choose options from the pop-up menus next to Find Item Whose:
- Choose Name from the left-most pop-up to search the site for a name--for example, to search for a file, external reference, e-mail address, color, or font managed in your site. Choose URL to search for a URL of a file, external reference, or e-mail address. (You can search for colors and fonts by name only.)
- Choose Contains, Is, Begins With, or Ends With from the right-most pop-up menu.
- In the text box, enter the full or partial name of the file or URL you are searching for.
- Click Find. GoLive displays the first item found in the active tab in the site window.
- To continue searching, click Find Next.
To quickly search again for an item you previously entered in the text box, select the item from the pop-up menu next to the text box.
