Waking your computer

To wake your computer from sleep, press any key or the Power button. You can wake some portable computers by opening the lid. (You can set this option in the Advanced Settings section of the Energy Saver control panel.)

Tip: If you're not sure whether the computer is in sleep or turned off, check the computer's power indicator light. It blinks, pulses, or glows amber when the computer is in sleep; the light is off when the computer is turned off.

If the computer takes too long to wake from sleep:
If your computer is not connected to an AppleTalk network or your computer is only connected to a network via TCP/IP, turn off AppleTalk in the AppleTalk control panel.
Use the Options button to turn off AppleTalk. To see the Options button, you need to switch to Advanced user mode by choosing User Mode from the Edit menu.
Open the AppleTalk control panel for me.
