Notes and Stickies

You can write and save notes on your computer using either the Note Pad or Stickies. Both programs are available in the Apple menu.

Using the Note Pad

To open the Note Pad, open the Apple Extras folder and double-click Note Pad.

Open the Note Pad for me.

To go to the next page:
Click the turned-up flap in the lower-left corner.

To return to the previous page:
Click below the flap in the lower-left corner.

To add pages to your Note Pad:
Open the File menu and choose New Note.

Using Stickies

The Stickies program lets you write notes and "paste them up" on the screen, much as you might do with paper stickies.

    To make a sticky note:
1 Open the Apple menu and choose Stickies.
    Open Stickies for me.
2 Open the File menu and choose New Note.
3 Type your note and move the sticky where you want it on the screen.

    To delete a sticky note:
    Click the sticky's close box.

Tip: Use the collapse box in the upper-right corner to temporarily close up a sticky note.

    To hide all stickies:
Open the Application menu (in the upper-right corner of the screen) and choose Hide Stickies.
You don't lose your notes; they reappear the next time you open Stickies.

To find out when a sticky was created or modified:
Select the sticky, then open the Note menu and choose Note Info.
