| Starting up
To start up the computer with one of the options below, hold down the keys shown while the computer starts up.
A plus sign (+) means keys are held down together.

Rebuild the Desktop file. Useful when desktop information becomes corrupted (for example, when icons take on a "generic" appearance). |

|
Reset Chooser and control panel settings stored in parameter RAM. |

Start up the computer from the CD in the CD-ROM drive. |

| Bypass the startup disk when starting up. |
