Control Strip

The Control Strip provides a quick and easy way to change some of your computer's settings (which you can also change using control panels). For example, you can use the Control Strip to turn file sharing on or off, and to adjust the computer's speaker volume.

The picture below shows some of the modules that may appear in the Control Strip on your computer.

Note: The module is moved from its original location on your disk (or copied, if it's on another disk) into the Control Strip Modules folder (inside the System Folder).

To remove an item from the Control Strip:
Drag the item's Control Strip module out of the Control Strip Modules folder (inside the System Folder).
Open the Control Strip Modules folder for me.

Tip: You can copy a module directly from the Control Strip to another location by holding down the Option key and dragging the module to the new location.
