Turning extensions off and on
Extensions and control panels are files that enhance your computer's capabilities. You may want to turn off an extension or control panel if it causes problems, or if you don't need it and it uses a lot of memory. To turn extensions and control panels off or on, use the Extensions Manager control panel.
You can also use the Extensions Manager control panel to turn on optional items in the System Folder, as well as startup and shutdown items. Tip: To get more help using the Extensions Manager control panel, open the Help menu and choose Show Balloons. Then point to the feature or menu item you're interested in.
