You can check whether updates to the software on your computer are available using the Software Update control panel.

Open the Software Update control panel for me.

To see what software updates are available:

•	Click Update Now.

Tip: For more information, open the Help menu and choose Show Balloons, then point to the item you're interested in learning about.

To install the software the control panel locates:

•	Click the checkbox next to the software in the Install Software window, then click Install.

To check for software updates automatically at specified times:

•	Click the "Update software automatically" checkbox, then click Set Schedule to set a schedule for checking the Internet for software updates.
