Using your PowerBook as an external hard disk
Some models of PowerBook computers can be connected to another computer and used as an external hard disk. This feature, called "SCSI Disk Mode," is available only on PowerBook models with an external SCSI connector. Before you use your PowerBook as an external hard disk, you need to set its SCSI ID and make sure that password security is turned off. Setting your PowerBook's SCSI ID To set the SCSI ID, use the PowerBook SCSI Setup control panel. IMPORTANT: If you are connecting your PowerBook to an existing SCSI chain, make sure to give it a different ID number from those of other devices in the chain.
Note: On older PowerBook computers the PowerBook SCSI Disk Mode control panel is used to set the SCSI ID for SCSI Disk Mode.
