In a word-processing document or text frame, AppleWorks can put paragraphs in alphabetical order (ascending or descending) or in random order.
To sort or randomize paragraphs:

Select the paragraphs you want to sort. |

Choose Sort Selected Paragraphs from the Edit menu. |

Choose Ascending, Descending, or Randomize from the pop-up menu. |

If the paragraphs are numbered and you want the numbers sorted by numeric values (1, 2, 10) instead of alphabetic values (1, 10, 2), click "Sort leading numbers by numeric values." |

If there are spaces or tab characters preceding the first character in any of the paragraphs and you want them ignored, click "Ignore leading spaces." |
