Using the Result window

When you run a script, some of its statements can produce an outcome or result. Results can be produced by expressions, or by AppleScript or the application responding to a command. Some error messages also appear in the Result window.

For example, the expression "2 + 2" produces the result "4."

    To open the Result window:
Open the Controls menu and choose Show Result.

When the Result window opens, it shows the results of the last script action.
